Since I was 20 years old I have been traveling in North America, Canada, forest to forest. I lived outside 4 seasons, winters included, I would move every season, build my camp, harvest the resources around, make some money in the nearby farms, play music, sell what I harvest from nature, mostly mushrooms, etc... So i have been living in the forest since then, also in communities, Also, I have been dedicating my life to the fruitarian community project, started in France, just an idea, to all the adventures that lead me to Canary islands, then Kenya, then back to Canada, and now I'm in Costa-Rica and Canada since 2013.... Lots of experiences, in permaculture, community building, NVC facilitator, animal rights activist, wild mushroom picker (my income), and many other essential things for the creation of the raw-vegan community.

I was born in county Marijampole, Lithuania still in the years of Soviet Union. Lithuania was first to get out from Soviet regime and we were left to face wild capitalism having 45years of Soviet regime experience.
I finished school. Finished Masters in automatics and engineering and parallel bachelor in Manufacturing Economics. Worked for 1 year as an engineer under low motivating conditions.
Tried one more law university to test some libertarian agorism ideas in crime control. It was not working and i had to leave after 6months.
Worked in metal processing as a head of milling team for about 1year. And then...
my journey in a health/environmental awareness/consniousness started....with international MLM company Amway in. 2002.
Journey to Raw -It took another 5 years when through following NaturalNews.com in 6month i fast tracked the vegetar/vegan/raw path by searching in to what should be ideal 'fuel' for humans. Well i was not fully raw most of the time for the next 3years... Then around 2010 the leap in to 80/10/10 fruity lifestyle happened. I'd say from 2012 i was mainly 'fruits till 4'.
Journey to Veganism -I grew up in a butchers family and was helping them from 1994-2001. I was a butcher in a farmers market on my own for nearly 1 year. I left to Ireland 2006, where soon consciousness shift happened.
I didn't realized it and i thought i knew the meaning of VEGAN (because i thought if i'm mainly raw vegan it means i know veganism) until i watched Gary Yourofsky The Best Speech' famous video in 2010.
Journey to Fruitarianism and Community -I've been looking for community/cooperative since i first came back from my longest trip to Costa Rica 2011. At that time i didn't liked it, maybe because of Western Coast, too westernalised beaches? No much variety of fruits for to test 80/10/10 lifestyle? Even tho i looked for compromise to tropics to be closer to Europe, i think Dr Doug Graham 80/10/10 book and lifestyle was the biggest secret puller to Tropics to me all those next 4 years. I realized more and more i had to compromise too much in order to stay in northern hemisphere also in a western extremly materialistic believes society ( can i call it materialistic sect?).
Anyway surprisingly just before one more winter I decided to risk and come again to Costa Rica because of sounding Pura Fruta community initiative in Dec'2014 with another house friend Les.
I could send you more updated feedback about my experience here and why i see that becoming self-sufficient in a community and in a tropical setting is a perfect resistance tool to the western system that we are usually enslaved in including suppression of our detox and evolution physically mentally emotionally spiritually. Just find EthicRanger online (ideally FB messenger)
Why i call myself EthicRanger? This choice immediately came in about 2008 after reading short report http://sn.im/EthicMoney and getting huge empowerment and realization of personal responsibilities.
Journey to Breatherianism -Considering :) ....
Why i am in this initiative?

I live accordingly and practice with my clients the Laws of Nature. In the physical realm it means providing the body with food ideal for human species, correct ratio between work, rest and exercise, sunlight, fresh air, and more. In the spiritual it is awareness of emotions, living in the moment, and can be summarized by the title of Gerald Jampolsky book: “Teach only love”. Once we open our heart to love rather than following the ego, The Great Universal Wisdom guides us, and we are capable of fulfilling our purpose and reaching our highest potential.
My journey is a self-healing story, and my passion is to help others to reclaim their health and joy of being. I highly value knowledge, and currently study in the University of Natural health. My previous career was in Economics and Internal Auditing, and taught me important lessons about the driving mechanisms of our society.
I possess a cross-cultural background, as life allowed me to to live in multi-national cities around the world, among them Moscow, Tel-Aviv, New York, and Toronto.
I am a mother of two kids, and parenting would probably be the most frequent subject of my conversations, other than health. With my kids, we practice the principles of Non-Violent communication: no punishments, no rewards, but encouraging giving from the heart; and the parent serving as a medium in resolving conflicts rather than being a judge.

Tamsin and Manu
I have been on a spiritual path of my own creation for more or less a decade since realizing improvement of myself for the benefit of all beings, was clearly the only way to live a rich and peaceful life on this planet.
Simplicity has been a big focus for my life path. Starting from my finding that I was only comfortable gaining as little money as necessary for basic needs, (more seemed difficult for me to gain in an ethical way) and continued as I enjoyed life this way. I learned to live a very minimal life with little money and minimal things in places where rent was not existing; in a van in England during my degree, down country back roads; in a squatted farm in Holland, my first community experience, growing our own food; Hitch-hiking around in Portugal whilst pregnant; sleeping on beaches and playing music on the street; mostly alone in the mountains with my baby, an open shack with a wood burner and piped river water; a squatted house in the side of a mountain with no running water, a community in the mountains, living in a tent on the edge of a national park, washing in the river and walking to forage/recycle food.
This path for simplicity, for me is intertwined with ethics. Over these years Veganism came to the front of my life around 5 years ago and fruitarianism took me further along with ahimsa values. I have become very aware of how every item we buy has a certain energy chain, which in many ways has caused the harm of a living being, or many along its path. Even down to the market where vegetables have been driven to the market using fuel, causing pollution which harms someone who breathes it. When I saw that trees and plants give us so willingly their fruit even that by eating it, we help the plant, Fruitarianism seemed to be the natural path so that no being be harmed for me to eat. My possessions are also almost entirely second-hand, including for my child, this way I make the most of the materials already produced and do not fund the harmful sweatshop industry. Life has been moving me towards, therefore, a way that allows for a high standard of ethical living, one which contributes to this world by creating conditions for meaningful connection to all beings of this planet.
Since living in that squated farm in Holland, community has been the obvious way to live. It excites me to know people so well, better than family, as family you can't choose. Life in many communities made me realise why it's so important to share values within your community, life can be more secure, more loving and we all learn how to deal with challenges, rather than harbouring resentments. Many community situations I have lived in have felt alienating because of a lack of shared values. My opinion is that children and all humans are needing a supportive tribe who shares values, so that the immediate world around them is not confusing, it has a stable ground from which to grow. It's been hard to find a community who shares the values of Pura Fruta...it's why I moved here.

I have been a professional massage therapist for over thirty years and holistic healing is my primary passion. From 1988-1991, I worked at a healing arts school in northern California and one of the main benefits was being able to study a wide range of healing modalities for free. Heartwood Institute was a residential community situated in the mountains twenty miles from Garberville, the nearest town. After having also lived in a wonderful community on the coast of Oaxaca, Mexico for over a year in 1986/1987, I was enamored with the intentional community lifestyle. I believe living in a tribal manner is the most healthy way to live, on numerous levels. It is a tried and true lifestyle that humanity has been experimenting with for hundreds of thousands of years!
For forty years, I have traveled extensively throughout North, Central, and South America. I love the indigenous cultures of Latin America, these people's deep connection to the natural world and their presence of being. I kept escaping the insanity of modern Western society to be close to intact healthy native cultures and the more relaxed and joyful vibe of Latin American countries. Throughout my life, I have regularly spent extended periods of time living with a backpack and camping in mountains, on beaches, and occasionally in jungles throughout the Americas.
For many years, I have believed that eating a cleansing raw food diet for extended periods of time is the best way to prevent and heal serious disease. But I never had the desire and support to embrace this reality as a full time lifestyle - until now. Since childhood, I have had a passion for picking ripe fruit from trees. Having access to a tropical fruit forest at PuraFruta is like a dream come true. Being able to live in a natural environment in Latin America with an international community of like-minded individuals is another dream come to fruition.
Between 2014 and 2020, I devoted myself to writing a book I was guided to manifest in form, while alternating that endeavor with developing extensive gardens and growing an abundance of organic produce on my family property in Taos, New Mexico. For five years I sold an average of $8,000/year of the harvest locally, while having more than enough to eat and some left over to give away to others. During the winters, I focused on the book "Sort of a Shaman." It is about many things, but ultimately I would venture to say it is mainly about self mastery, plus connecting and working with higher dimensional beings of vast knowledge, wisdom, and power in service to life on our planet.
To me, the most important focus is the spiritual awakening that wants to happen within myself, as well as humanity as a collective. Everything I do is in full support of this incredibly challenging and exciting process. For more details, feel free to visit my website at www.markjhowarth.com
